Harrison's Blessing Day

Harrison being his cute, sweet self. He has brought a smile back to many faces in our family.

Sunday, May 3, 2009 was a very special day for our family. Harrison Timothy Dozier was Blessed by his dad Colin. Also in the circle were his Grandpa Tim, his Uncles' Steve and Lynn (family by friendship, love and support), friends Colin M., Kent, Eric, and Bishop Dull. It was also wonderful that my Mom and Dad, my Aunt and Uncle, & Tim's Mom and her husband came to church to be with us, along with a few of Tim's co-workers! It was a very emotional day. A very happy day. Harrison slept through most of it, but did make his presence known with a few squeeks and noises. Great Grandma Camille worked hard all week to make an adorable blessing outfit with stars on it. So cute! We are so glad all our family and friends came to be with us. I means so much...

We then went over to Amy and Colin's home and had a good dinner and enjoyed each other's company. Thank you to Cyndee, Wendi, Tracee and Courtney for all your help in the kitchen. I appreciated it very much. And thank you to Cyndee for your GREAT pulled pork sandwiches, YUM!!! And to Great Grandma Camille for her always amazing potato salad. Good food, good friends, good fun.

Broccoli Salad

1 1/2 lbs fresh broccoli, finely chopped, using the tops and small stems

1/2 medium, red onion, diced

6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled(or I use the package of bacon by the bacon bits in the store)
3/4 cup craisins

1 cup toasted and salted sunflower seeds

Mix ingredients together.

Dressing:

1 1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup white sugar

3 Tab vinegar

Mix well with whisk. Stir into salad. Chill. Enjoy-and I'm glad you liked it.
