LAND OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

Happy Thanksgiving.

Today we partake of our wonderful Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, homemade rolls and pumpkin pie. As we bow our heads to bless our feast, please include our servicemen and women in your prayers. They sacrifice beyond what we can imagine.

We sit here in our homes with the smell of turkey roasting and parades and football on our tvs. Our son-in-law, Colin, is serving our country in Afghanistan. He celebrates Thanksgiving in a tent with bitter cold nights and his wife and son half a world away. Terrorists do not celebrate holidays. They do not celebrate freedom.

Our servicemen serve freely. They salute our flag and believe in our constitution. They support our country and each other. Please pray for their safety. And pray that they will know there ARE people who support them back home.

Happy Thanksgiving. We are blessed in this country. It is a land of the free BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE.
